Reebok – at GDS for the first time
On-the-go fitness studio

Sports shoe specialist Reebok has set itself the goal of becoming the market leader in fitness and of reintroducing fun to fitness studios. One key concept of this strategy is the revolutionary Toning technology, which is also employed in the popular Reebok EasyTone shoes: air pads below the insole produce a slight imbalance with every step the wearer takes.

Training with EasyTone footwear is also possible in everyday life. These street-fit shoes serve as a fitness studio on the go. By company accounts they “keep wearers fit with every step … while shopping, at the office or in a café”.

Rumble in the Jungle

Under the heading Rumble in the Jungle the 13th edition of the design attack Area in Hall 3 will create a hot setting. The cosmos of the 100 design newcomers in specialist fashion and shoe retail has long become a fixture at the fair – innovation being a given here – for Spring/Summer 2011 and moda-pronta.

The motto “Rumble in the Jungle” is a declaration of love to Africa, to the love of nature and wanderlust. The right scenery is ensured by lavish decoration including palmtrees, fruit and exotic animals, typical safari props and innumerable green shades. Presentations take place in makeshift looking huts. The sounds of drums and African performances make for entertainment. Visitors will find a place to relax in the oasis complete with waterfall, deckchairs and hammocks.

Design attack exhibitors include Silver Label, Bead, Beachers, Pololo, Kavat, Taschendieb, Machin Machine, meine Matrosin, das Pinke Zimmer, to name but a few ...

Cubanas
Revolucionar la vida - Revolutionise Life

The spirit of Cuba, with its joyous fiestas and easygoing way of life, provides the inspiration for the young Portuguese women's shoe label, Cubanas. Here an urban, fun-loving, young and contemporary look is celebrated under the fashion motto "Cubanas Revolucionar La Vida" (Cubanas Revolutionises Life).

Iron Fist
Rebellious Mixture

“Buy it if you like it” is the slogan of the Iron Fist website. The creative minds behind the fashion and footwear label from San Diego don’t give a damn about conventions; their fashion is by no means meant to be understood, worn or – let alone – loved by everyone and it definitely does not slot into any fashion genre. This design is honest, impulsive and raw, pledges allegiance to “dirty tattoo-inspired street art and obnoxious colour mixes” – and in fact the elaborate artwork comes care of real underground and street artists.

J Shoes
Dressed-Down Elegance

The British label J Shoes produces high-quality shoes for women and men, and stands for a combination of an artisan-nostalgic workshop appeal with modern styling and plenty of wearing comfort. Dishevelled elegance plays the leading fashion role in Spring/Summer 2011.

Women's styles are characterised by understated glamour. Material mix, sentimental vintage touches, relaxed cut-out uppers, tassels and lace decorations are the preferred elements. For men there are classic models interpreted in a dirty, dressed-down fashion.

Foxtrot
Kick-off in Europe

Foxtrot makes shoes for modern women with an urban lifestyle. The label comes from Singapore and is among the newcomers on the European market. The company comes well prepared for its international entry: the lasts originate from Europe, finest leathers, fabrics and accessories are imported from all over the world and then made into largely hand-crafted styles finished with loving attention to detail at the company’ s own local production site.
